Linda Williams, MD is an adult psychiatrist and licensed to practice medicine in the state of CO. She is a graduate of the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, the University of CO School of Medicine with a Doctorate in Medicine, and completed a CU post-graduate residency program in Family Practice.

Dr. Williams has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine teaching interns and residents. She practiced Primary Care Medicine in the Denver metro area for 18 years before returning to Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Psychiatric Hospital in Boston to complete a second residency in Adult Psychiatry. She now practices exclusively as a psychiatrist.

Dr. Williams’ training includes medication prescribing and management, and a variety of psychotherapy/counseling approaches. She has had additional training in Primary Care Psychiatry providing mental health care for patients with chronic physical illness. She has also directed and administered emergency mental and physical care to survivors, first responders, and disaster workers in several disaster zones. Most recently she worked post- earthquake in Haiti as part of an international team through Heart to Heart International. Dr. Williams was involved in the formation of the United Nations’ Emergency Mental Health Task Force and co-wrote the emergency mental health policy for the country of Haiti.

She is experienced in cross-cultural medicine and mental health, and has worked in numerous countries worldwide including with aboriginal tribes in rural Taiwan and on the Amazon in Peru, in Cambodia, Hong Kong, and Thailand post tsunami among others. She worked with severely traumatized Cambodian refugees and Pol Pot genocide survivors in the Boston area during her psychiatric training. Dr. Williams is currently a mental health consultant for several international organizations regarding screening, emergency crisis response in the field, and mental health care for workers overseas.

Dr. Williams is pleased to partner with Grace Counseling in prescribing and management of psychiatric medication for their patients one day a week.
