Genetic Testing: Personalized Treatment for Optimal Brain Health
Why is Genetic Testing a Good Idea?
Up to half of all patients respond poorly to the first psychiatric medication they try. That’s because everyone’s body is different, and how your body responds to a given medication is influenced by your genetic makeup, or your individual DNA.
The Genecept Assay looks at key genes in your body that affect how it responds to medication. This can help your clinician understand if a medication may work for you before you even try it. With this information and your history, your clinician can find the right treatments so you can feel better, faster.
How Does This Testing Work? What is the Process?
The Genecept Assay is a simple test; it requires only a small sample of your saliva, collected by swabbing the inside of your cheek with a cotton Swab.

“I don’t think words can ever truly convey the gratitude you feel toward someone who has saved your life. And that is what Lisa has done for me. She saved my life. But even more importantly, with kindness and compassion, she persuaded me, in my brokenness, that my life was worth saving. She provided me a safe place to face the pain I have experienced in my life and the damage it has caused me. In doing so, she gave me the clarity and perspective I needed to learn how to live my life more honestly, courageously and joyfully. Because of her holistic approach to therapy, I am now at a place in my life emotionally, physically and spiritually that I never dreamed I could be. But I thank God that Lisa did. She believed in me and hoped for me when I couldn’t. Lisa’s experience and professionalism are rivaled only by her tender heart and her profound desire to be used by God to help her clients find and experience healing and hope for their lives.” –CZ
“Lisa provided a safe place where I could be myself, and I didn’t feel judged. There was a mutual trust and respect. She not only demonstrated professionalism but also what it mean to be a vessel of God. With sensitivity and compassion, she came alongside me and helped me find strength to acknowledge my pain, courage to face it, and renewed hope to persevere through it. As a result, I have found deep healing, no longer broken but restored. I am truly grateful and blessed to have had Lisa’s help and support. I am a life transformed.” –W
