Adult DBT Groups
A DBT, or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, skills group aims to teach specific skills to help individuals suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder, as well as other mental illnesses or where skills training is needed. The skills are also beneficial across a wide range of life difficulties, including parenting or relationship problems.
DBT groups for adults validate and empower individuals and teach skills that help in managing and regulating emotions. It also aids in dealing with crisis and distress, improving effectiveness in relationships, and living in the present moment. This DBT group for adults teaches evidence-based, empirically supported skills. Of course these come with the goal of fostering increased effectiveness in daily life. This group is open and on-going.
