New Client Info

New Clients

After scheduling your first appointment, you will receive a Welcome email from our TherapyPortal platform where you can create a login to the Portal. This secure platform allows you to conveniently manage your appointments and preferences for communication. The Welcome email will also include a link for you to fill out the new client forms. Please complete these intake forms prior to your first appointment. If you need assistance, please call the front desk at 720-489-8555.

If you prefer to complete these forms in our office, then please arrive 15 minutes before your first appointment, and we will provide you with hard copies of the appropriate forms.

Scheduling an Appointment

The office staff is available from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. You may call (720) 489-8555 or contact us to arrange an appointment time with the therapist of your choice. Please call during off-peak times. We are most busy between 10 minutes before and after the top of each hour checking in our clients. Of course, you may also inquire with the receptionist which therapist may be the best fit for you considering your specific needs.

Therapist Hours

Our therapists offer early morning and late afternoon/evening hours, Monday through Friday. Naturally, sessions outside of school and business hours are premium to most clients, thus may be more difficult to schedule.

Length of Sessions

Therapy appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes of time with the therapist. Some therapists may offer longer sessions at a prorated fee.

Payment

Our fees range from $130 – $300 per session depending on the therapist.  We also have a training program at Grace Counseling, and offer reduced rates with our Licensed Professional Counselor Candidates, Marriage and Family Therapist Candidates, or Graduate Interns, overseen by our psychologists.

Frequently, some therapists offer a reduced fee depending on individual and family financial circumstances and availability of reduced-fee spots.  Existing clients may inquire about our in-house benevolence fund, and we do partner with local churches who wish to pay fees on a client’s behalf.

Insurance

Although we do not work directly with insurance providers, we will provide you with the paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company. Many plans offer partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers. Contact your insurance company to find out if your plan covers out-of-network mental health services.  Grace Counseling cannot see clients who have Medicaid.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be cancelled 48 hours in advance. Missed appointments and cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance result in a full fee charge for the counseling session.

No Surprises Act

If you are a therapy or counseling client, you have a right under the No Surprises Act to an estimate of the total cost of your services.  This is discussed further in the opening forms you will complete.  Please note that this estimate is for your information only.  You are never obligated to complete more therapy or counseling services than you wish. We do not pre-sell “bundles” or “packages” and you only pay for the therapy services you want.  There are sometimes additional fees, for example, if you ask to communicate with another professional on your behalf or ask to write a letter or report.  Your counselor will be happy to discuss any questions you have about fees and the No Surprises Act and estimate.
