Victim’s Compensation

At Grace Counseling, we believe it is important to provide quality counseling as a full-service family counseling center. We also strive to be a positive part of our community. One way we do this is by partnering with the Victim’s Compensation funds from the county to cover your visits with your counselor here.

If you have been a victim of a crime, you can apply for victim’s compensation benefits through the county where the crime was committed. For more information on this process, please contact the county’s victim compensation board directly.

Once you are ready to make an appointment, our front desk will need this information from you before you are able to schedule your initial visit:

  • The county in which you applied to VC
  • Your VC number (this is found on the letter you get once VC has received your application)

Once you establish yourself with one of our counselors, your visits will be charged to the respective county. The county determines how many sessions are covered at the beginning, but you are welcome to reapply with them for more.

Please note that you must have already applied for Victim’s Compensation before we are able to schedule you in our system. For more information on how our partnership with Victim’s Compensation works, please call (720) 489-8555 or contact us.
